Hello, what are the thoughts of other members, regarding the state of the flooded aire, will it still be worth fishing, when the levels drop!still quite new to river fishing(had a few trout, chub, grayling & even a couple of barbell) will there be any fish left in the river,or will it take years for it to get back to how it was!any thoughts or comments welcome, tight lines

Hi Pete The fish will still be there,I fish the Wharfe and Ouse which flood a lot more than the Aire and as soon as the levels are down its back to normal. The fish find the slacks and hold up in them. There may be a few fish marooned as the waters recede though.

I know of a couple of people who have fished the river since the floods. I will find out what, if anything, they caught at the committee meeting. Any catch reports from any waters would be appreciated.
